Butch Walker is fudging amazing. He's my Rock 'N Roll hero. And I have yet to meet someone who has heard of him without me telling them first. I think it's pretty freaking cool that he's so amazing, and he does so well, yet isn't his isn't a name everyone knows.
So, if you have heard of him, let me know that you exist! lol
And if you don't... I would love to introduce you to him and his music!
He had a band for a while called the Marvelous 3 and I love their stuff. More recently, he has a lot of solo stuff, including Weight of Her, which comes out November 11. You can get the single Weight of Her for free from amazon.com and there are probably a lot of songs on his myspace you can listen to. If (Jeannie's Song) is one of my most favorite songs of all time, and it's off of Left of Self-Centered - my favorite of his solo albums so far.
Plus, he can play like every instrument. He knows his stuff, and then some.
Not only does Butch make amazing music, but he also produces everyone and their dog (probably just because he can). Ever heard of: Avril Lavigne, Family Force 5, Bowling for Soup, Pink, Lindsay Lohan, Lit, Simple Plan, Sevendust, Injected, The Donnas, Hot Hot Heat, American Hi-Fi, Default, Gob, Midtown, Puffy AmiYumi, Pete Yorn, Fall Out Boy, Quietdrive, All-American Rejects, SR-71, Rock Star Supernova, The Academy Is... The Automatic, and/or The Cab? Yeah, that's what I thought. His music doesn't sound anything like any of those bands, obviously, since they're all radically different. He's about five times better than them all combined...
He also lost all of his possessions, his entire house, and every master he'd ever recorded in a California wild fire less than a year ago.

Seeing Butch Walker in concert is on my List of Things to do Before I Die, very near the top...

my electronics are ganging up on me, and it is getting old.
so i am going to rant about it, because i am FRUSTRATED.
first, there's my desktop... and don't get me wrong, i LOVE my electronics! but i love them more when they work. my desktop has some corrupted file or something so everything is basically black and white. dA, right now? black and white, with links in blue. i can't see the search bar. i have to press the tab key until the little web address at the bottom says 'search.' maybe i'll take a print screen and show you ([link]). although, to put it up on dA, i have to randomly click under the submission box until the browse window comes up because i can't see the button! anyway, so i finally decided to wipe the little booger and start from scratch. got me a huge external hard drive (which deals with my laptop's problems), and backed up everything i needed onto it. finally decided to reformat it by starting it up and pressing the f12 (longer story with that, i wont even bother with it) stuff when it came on but it never worked. finally, inserted the disk, did the f12 thingy. got all the way to hit <ENTER> to install the operating system. i hit enter...and nothing happened.
so i call technical support. and when i finally get a person (who was very nice), i was told that neither i nor my parents are the owner(s) of my computer. until i can prove i own the infected piece of crap sitting in front of me, they will not help me. apparently, my parents got my computer online so whoever bought it first is the owner, and my computer is 3 years old so we don't exactly have that information handy. so that's a dead end. thanks, dell.
my laptop issues aren't as bad, thankfully. for some reason, it told me i only had a few gigabytes free when i've only had the computer for a year and i could only find about 70 used gigabytes of my 231GB hard drive. so finally, after trying to forever to clean it up (somehow after i deleted something, my free space DECREASED), i ran the disk cleanup. if you don't know, disk cleanup tells you what you can delete and how many bytes that will free up on you hard drive.
it tells me i can free up 864GB.
does anyone see an inconsistency with that?
864GB. not 8.64 or even 86.4. 864, even though my hard drive is only 231GB. oh well, works for me! so i deleted that sucker and now the space is about right.
unfortunately, my problems don't end there! at college, they have internet jacks or whatever and i plug my desktop in and it works fine.
not my laptop.
it connects locally, but wont come up with the college page to fully connect me to the internet and no one seems to know what to do. DO YOU??? also, the college tech support is closed until sunday. guess we'll see how that goes lata.
but wait, there's more!
oh, yes.
my brand-spanking-new printer (okay, so got it about a year ago and hadn't opened it yet. another long story) doesn't work. i put in the ink it came with and the printer keeps telling me to buy their bloody epson ink. so i call epson and it turns out it is a hardware problem with the printer. luckily, it's still under its one-year warranty dealio so they're mailing me a free printer!!! so at least that's something.

alright so i guess that's all.
to make this rant more fun, i have a game!:

My phone is on it's last leg. It's very sad; I've never had a cell phone die before. It's almost two years old and it has been having a lot of technical difficulties since it was one and a half. It won't vibrate any more. It randomly wont take calls or text messages. And today, it attempted suicide! I was standing in the bathroom and it leaped out of my pocket into the toilet! I pulled it out of my pocket as quickly as possible and dried it off but I don't know...
The screen went all screwy, but I still managed to make a call. Then the keypad stopped working. I turned it off and dried the battery, and it thankfully came back on. The buttons weren't working for a while longer, but now they seem okay. I copied down all the phone numbers in my address book while I'll still could. I refuse to make a "I lost my cell phone. Need #s" group on Facebook! Anyway, my phone seems to be recovering now so hopefully it will be okay!
Regardless, I'll get a new one for Christmas because the two-year contract on the phone expires then. Right now I have a silver Motorola razor. What phone should I get next time???

In other news...
Life: Not much else is going on... College started up again... so just a lot more homework! Apparently, all my uncles and grandparents on my dad's sided are coming to my house for no apparent reason on the 18th! And I just got to visit with my baby cousins who turn 3 and 1 this month... So I'm going to see nearly all of my family in one month... It's making me paranoid lol...
ItBoaE: I finished chapter one for the second time. And now I have to go back and add something, and change something else... Hopefully third time is the charm and chapter one will REALLY be finished! Actually I could just put the added something into chapter two... yesssss...
